Eleanor Bodenhamer was the Student Council Sponsor when I was in high school at Central. She was kind, funny, smart and an amazing woman who loved her students and her family. I am so very sorry for her family's loss. She will be missed.
I loved Eleanor so much. She was attractive, intelligent, loving, and kind. I really respected her, and she will be missed.
I just recently got this sad news. Mrs. Bodenhamer was one of the best and sweetest teacher's I've ever had. I give my deepest condolences to the family.
I met Eleanor while obtaining my teaching certificate in 1980 or 1981. She gave me confidence and I have always remembered her.

Deepest condolences to Eleanor's family and friends. Rex and I remember Eleanor from River City Civitan, where she was a valued member and friend. One fun memory that sticks out is a Halloween party, where she came as a pregnant bride, complete with white gown, baby bump, and veil. We had to stop at the supermarket where she was certainly noticed back in those days. We had a big laugh at some of the looks cast our way. Eleanor was always so gracious. RIP beautiful lady. Ann and family, your mother epitomized grace and loveliness. She was always so positive and encouraging. I remember visiting your home as a young, tired mother of three. One of the boys had come in past his curfew, and your mother calmly said, “I know you have a good reason, but I was worried, don’t do that again.” I thought how different I would have reacted, her calm discipline had a lasting effect on me. My heart goes out to your family, I know it hurts.

We were so saddened to read of Eleanor's passing yesterday. We have missed both she and Ben since they moved from Shannon Drive several years ago. Our sympathy and prayers are with all of you and our memories will be long lived of the two of them.
