Dear Barbara and Kim:I will be unable to attend the service for Moye, but wanted to express my deepest condolences. Moye was such a bright spot at Rotary, loved his infectious laugh. Although life will never be the same without him, I hope and pray that you will find strength during this difficult time through your memories with Moye. Love in PEO,Ann Wood
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Rutledge Family.
My heart aches for your loss. I cannot tell you how much I admired Moye and Barbara as a lovely and vibrant couple. It was many years before I realized that my friend and sorority sister, Melinda, was related to the Rutledges!!! (Of course, I should've known... since all are wonderful!) Will be sending loving thoughts and prayers your way. I hope the many wonderful memories you have will buoy you up in the days and months ahead!
As a voice from the distant past - best of friends at Peabody- very sorry to hear that e has passed but not surprised to read of his many accomplishments. I also remember Barbara at First Baptist Church, Nashville. My bother-in-law, Frank Dodson, was also raiselsd in Gallatin and is buried in family plot .adjacent to Elliot Sr in view of the McKoin farm. Frank's family knew the McKoins and his sister, Wilda Hudgins, still lives there. I regret not having reconnected with Moye because we had many wonderful moments together in grade school/junior high and were very close neighbors then. Reminiscences would have been enjoyed by boh of us.My sincere condoences.
My sincere sympathy to Moye's Faimly and Friends. I come to Know Moye through our Soil Survey and Land Resource Workshop help at College, Texas each year. Moye knew how to have fun and enjoy himself. He will truly be missed. I felt privileged to have known him.
Our deepest sympathy and prayers to the Rutledge family.

My sincere sympathy to Moye's family and friends. My association with Moye was when I served for my state agency on the State Sewage Septic Committee which he ably chaired for many years. His sense of wit and humor made for interesting times and I always appreciated his optimism. I feel privileged to have known him.
To the Rutledge Family: We are so sorry to learn of your loss with Moye's passing. I came to know him as a credit to his science and his profession and as a man of conviction who was willing to speak out on issues where he held strong beliefs. Most of all, however, at the passing of a fellow faculty member, I had the opportunity to see him as a truly caring and compassionate person. Please know you are all in our thoughts and prayers.
