Elmo Alvin Omohundro's Obituary
Elmo Alvin Omohundro, age 88, of West Fork, passed away Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville. He was born July 31, 1925 in Lincoln, Arkansas to William Oliver Omohundro and Ruth Mugley Omohundro.
He served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He worked for the Shipley Baking Company for 28 years. He then retired and drove a Greenland School bus for several years.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years Doris Omohundro; five children, Thomas Omohundro and his wife Betty of West Fork, Margaret Ball of Greenwood, Arkansas, Robert Omohundro and his wife Maria of Vineland, New Jersey, Bonnie Raymo and her husband Marvin of West Fork and Roy Omohundro of Fayetteville; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Elmer E. Omohundro of Greenland, Arkansas; a sister, Sue Lynch and her husband Jim of Fayetteville and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at Moore’s Chapel followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Baptist Ford Cemetery.
