Eloise Williams Jackson of Barling, formerly Fayetteville, died peacefully on Wednesday, December 7, 2016, with family by her side. She was 95. Eloise was born in Strong, Arkansas on November 16, 1921 to Alben and Huey Williams. S Read Obituary
Randy - A friend just told me about your mom's passing. She was such a sweet lady, and I know she is deeply missed by many. I enjoyed reading about her life. I was also a member of Phi Upsilon Omicron at the U of A. She was such a great example of how you can live a long, productive life with Type 1 Diabetes if you control it. I would have liked to have attended the memorial at Butterfield had I known earlier.
I came to adore Mrs Jackson over the last couple of years. Her spirit and her smile drew me right to her. She was interesting and didn't even know it. I enjoyed her teaching memories. One day a young adult asked me "is that Mrs. Jackson". When I replied that it was, she said , "that was the best teacher I ever had." I will miss you, Eloise Jackson. I grew to love you.
Randy, Leslie, and family,Sending you warm thoughts in the loss of your mother. Her rose bushes that still bloom on Oliver Street are sweet reminders of the beauty and grace she brought to the neighborhood back in the day. Besides the family friendship, I had the advantage of having her as my reading teacher in 4th grade when she taught a semester for Mrs. Bonner. And she was a second mother for John as you two boys shuttled back and forth between homes. Thought you'd like to know that Jade has named her new daughter Audrey Eloise--the name chosen because she and her husband really liked it. I think John would have been pleased, given this connection.
We are so sorry that we could not attend the service for Eloise. We have a lot of fond memories of the Fayetteville and Beaver lake days. You and your family are in our prayers and will continue to be. So sorry for your loss! Love Gerry and Darlene
Randy- Just a note to let you know how much I valued the dealings I had with your Mother and Father. The talents and energies she shared with us as Leverett School students and Cub Scout members provided wonderful influences in our lives. All the years I dealt with them at Goff-McNair were pleasant ones. They were fine people, I respect them greatly, and extend my sincere condolences.
