Elsie 'Doodle' Imagene Harris' Obituary
Elsie Imagene “Jean” or “Doodle” Key Harris, age 82, of Springdale, died Thursday October 31, 2013. She was born January 4, 1931 in Farmington, Arkansas to Emmett Lynn and Martha Etta Walker Key. She was a math teacher for 26 years at Central Junior High School in Springdale, and inspired many through her love of education. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma sorority and an avid reader, excellent cook and accomplished seamstress. She loved her family and friends, and was the best Mom and Grandma ever. She will be greatly missed by all of those who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Henry H. Harris and her sister, Hazel McMain.
She is survived by three daughters, Anna Harp of Springdale, Arkansas; Sue Wilson of Fayetteville, Arkansas; Nancy Mitchell and husband Marshall of Springdale, Arkansas; one son, Henry “Bo” Harris and wife Suzanne of Conway, Arkansas; thirteen grandchildren, Vicki Littrell, Kerri Burba Angst, Jake Hoffarth, Egan Harris, Carol Bailey, Joshua Crowder, Sammi Crowder, Courtney Vaughn, Jesse Wilson, Jerad Napier, Jillian Moore, Skyler Moore and Taura Smith; twelve great-grandchildren, Cassi Dime, Dawson Littrell, Evan Harris, Dace Crowder, Libby Crowder, Trenton May, Brayden Napier, Kade Napier, Lauren Smith, Kaitlyn Smith, Axel Bailey and Chrystiana McKinney; one brother-in-law and wife, Kirk and Shirley Harris; and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services are 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 4, 2013, at Fayetteville National Cemetery, Fayetteville, Arkansas.
