Elva Mae Doling's Obituary
Elva Mae Wight Doling, 87, of Springdale, Arkansas, passed away on December 30, 2025. She was born on May 19, 1938, in Vaughn, Arkansas, to Claud Wight and Lois Pearl Garrett Wight. Elva spent most of her life in Springdale, where she worked for Walmart and retired in 2000. She was a hardworking and devoted woman who took pride in providing for her family and building lasting friendships along the way. She found joy in traveling, especially with her dear friend, Patsy, and loved spending peaceful days fishing at Beaver Lake and Bull Shoals Lake. Elva had a passion for photography and enjoyed capturing memories through her lens. She delighted in playing dominoes, exploring garage sales and auctions, and most of all, spending time with her family. Elva also had a special passion for cats, showing the same gentle care and compassion to animals that she showed to everyone in her life.
Elva was preceded in death by her parents, Claud and Lois Wight; and her siblings, Walter Wight, Velma Clark, and J.C. Wight. She is survived by her loving daughters, Kathy Phillips and Barbara Allen; her grandchildren, Stephanie Phillips, Jeremy Phillips, and Junior Phillips; and numerous great-grandchildren who brought her immense happiness and pride.
Elva will be remembered for her generous heart, her kindness, and her ability to always see the best in people. She carried a warm smile wherever she went and had a gentle way of making others feel valued and loved. Her presence was a blessing, and her memory will forever be cherished by those who knew her.
