Elwood (Woody) David Rogers' Obituary
Elwood (Woody) David Rogers, age 80, of Lincoln, Arkansas went to be with his Lord Sunday September 12, 2021. He was born June 29, 1941 in Wewoka, Oklahoma to Charlie and Dorotha (Swindle) Rogers. Woody was in the Army stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War and later worked as a carpenter and owned a dairy/cattle farm. He was preceded in death by his wife, Christine (Ward) Rogers, his parents, and his brother, Dennis Rogers. Woody enjoyed cattle farming, riding horses and working the dairy farm. He was a member of the White Rock Light of Faith PCG in Fayetteville.
He is survived by his sister-in-law, Mary Rogers, of Muskogee, Oklahoma; his son, David Rogers and his wife Kenda of Farmington, Arkansas; and three daughters, Angela Baker and her husband Larry of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; Danette Rogers of Farmington, Arkansas; and Lenora (Suzy) Gilman and her husband George of Long Beach, California; five grandchildren, William Rogers and his wife Kayla of Coweta, Oklahoma; Kathrin Rogers of Bella Vista, Arkansas; Ethan Baker of Farmington, Arkansas; Christopher Gilman and his wife Jessica of Aliso Viejo, California; and Kyle Gilman of Irving, Texas.
Visitation will be 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm Thursday, September 16, 2021 followed by the funeral service at 2:00 pm at White Rock Light of Faith PCG located at 6560 Wedington Dr, Fayetteville under the direction of Moore’s Chapel.
Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Crosses, Arkansas. The service will be available through live stream at: https://my.gather.app/remember/elwood-rogers
