Ernest B. Matkin's Obituary
Ernest B. Matkin, Jr., age 84, of Fayetteville, died Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at Fayetteville.
He was born October 26, 1926 at Gregory, Arkansas, the son of Ernest B. Matkin, Sr. and Cora Elizabeth Huenefeld Matkin.
He was a member of Central United Methodist Church and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
He is survived by two daughters, Mary Purvis of Fayetteville and Judy Allen of Des Moines, Iowa; sister, Ernestine Martin of Little Rock, AR; three grandchildren, Story Matkin-Rawn, William Matkin Allen and Jonathan Andrew Allen; one great-grandchild, Zora Jay Allen-Hayter.
Visitation will be held 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 13 followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m., at Moore’s Chapel in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Burial of ashes will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 14, 2011 at Roselawn Cemetery in Little Rock.
