Etelvina "Tina" Diaz's Obituary
Etelvina Diaz known as Tina to most, age 72, of Berryville, Arkansas, passed away on March 1, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Arkansas. She was born on January 17, 1952, in Puentesillas, Municipo de Ario de Rosales, Michoacan, Mexico, to Jose and Evangelina Perez. She was married to the love of her life Agustin Diaz in May of 1971. Tina moved to the United States in March of 1991. She was a line worker for Tyson Inc. for many years before retiring in 2015. Tina loved her family enormously and often showed her love with her delicious home cooked meals. She attended Tabernaculo de Cristo in Berryville, where she was baptized in the name of Jesus on April 11, 2021.
She was loved by many people. Known to many by Tina, but her family had many names for her: Abuela, Grammies, Guita Nanay, Grandma, Abuelita, and Mami Tina.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and one sister.
Tina is survived by children, Ana Diaz, Edith Reyes and husband Eddy, Adolfo Diaz and wife Dioselina, Miriam Diaz and husband Alejandro, and Monica Hernandez and husband Jose; twenty-four grandchildren, Nedya Moreno and husband Fransico, Karina Figueroa and husband Gustavo, Joselin Plascencia and husband Javier, Elmer Lagos and wife Renee, Josue, David, Kezia, Isaih, Selvin Reyes and wife Yareli, Kevin, Daniela, Jacqueline Diaz and husband Juan, Zuleyma, Fabiola, Genesis, Adolfo and wife Martha, Adolfo, Edgar, Marcela, Alexandra, Alexander, Christopher, Jose, and Caleb; eighteen great grandchildren, Zureilah, Zarek, Zamirah, Zabdiel, Zaira, Yahir, Jimena, Javier, Juni, Zyla, Khloe, Jaziel, Cylus, Maria, Kiara, Adolph, Claus, and Hope; three brothers, and two sisters.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 7, 2024, at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville. Burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery.
