Eual O. McCarty's Obituary
Eual O. McCarty, 81 of Springdale, AR passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2010 in Fayetteville, AR. He was born November 14, 1928 in St. Paul, AR to George McCarty and Lovie (Robinson) McCarty. He was retired from National Home Center, a long time member of White Rock Light of Faith Church, a lifetime member of V.F.W., and a U.S. Army veteran having served in the Korean Conflict. He also enjoyed sports, hunting, gardening, traveling and spending time with his grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his wife Blanche McCarty whom he married October 2, 1954, his brother; William McCarty, and his sister; Maysel Bryant.
He is survived by one daughter; Linda and husband Jim Mayes of Springdale, AR, one granddaughter; Kelli Winn and husband William of Springdale, AR, one grandson; James Mayes of Springdale, AR, three great grandchildren; Ben, Zach, and Mary Kate Winn of Springdale, AR, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Friday, March 5, 2010 at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 6, 2010 at the White Rock Light of Faith Church in Fayetteville, with Reverend H.M. Shipp officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Grove Cemetery with military honors.
Memorial contributions may be made to Circle of Life Hospice.
