Eugene Tolbert Huckabay's Obituary
Eugene Tolbert Huckabay, 73, of Conway, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2008, in Little Rock. He was born July 5, 1935 in St. Louis, Missouri. The son of Eugene Franklin Huckabay and Margaret (Herbert) Clark. He was a graduate of Harrison High School after which he enlisted in the United States Army National Guard in 1952. He was in active duty in 1957. Eugene then went on and served with the 4154 U.S. Army Reserve Forces School in North Little Rock and was awarded the meritorious service medial in recognition of 42 years of military service at Camp Pike and retired a Chief Warrant Officer (CW4) in 1995, with the 4154th as a civilian employee of the Department of Defense. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, golfing and was a big Razorback Fan. He is survived by one daughter; Sue Hale and husband Terry of Maumelle, Arkansas, two grandchildren; Scott Hale and Whitney Hale both of Maumelle, Arkansas, two sisters; Kathleen Morris and husband Gary of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Synda Dillard and husband Butch of Frierson, Louisiana, two nephews; Roger Morris of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Rowdy Morris of Grove, Oklahoma, one niece; Rhonda Reeder of Birmingham, Alabama and a host of friends. Graveside services will be 10:00 AM, Friday, July 25, 2008 at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock, Arkansas. In lieu of Flowers memorials may be made to the Arkansas Respiratory Health Association, 211 Natural Resource Drive, Little Rock, Arkansas 72205 or the Arkansas Hospice, 5600 West 12th Street, Little Rock, Arkansas 72204.
