Eugenia (Jean) DeRose's Obituary
Eugenia (Jean) DeRose of Rogers, AR went to be with her Lord peacefully on April 14, 2021 at the age of 89. Eugenia was born on June 29, 1931 in Chicago, IL to Joseph and Theresa Senski.
Jean loved to work with all kinds of arts and crafts and flower arrangements. She retired from Walmart after 16 years of service. She was an active member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Rogers where she was instrumental in promoting the church’s perpetual adoration program. She was among the first to help establish the parish food pantry, and served as a homebound minister. Jean was also a regional director in the Third Order of the Lay Carmelites, as well as an active member of the American Legion.
She was preceded in death by her husband Anthony George DeRose of Rogers, AR; her son Anthony James DeRose (Karla) of Rockford, IL; her parents Joseph and Theresa Senski of Chicago; her sisters Isabel Bosek of Chicago, and Irene Tumino of Bridgman MI; and her brother Leonard Senski of Chicago. She is survived by sons Thomas (Carolyn) DeRose of Rogers, AR, and Ted DeRose (Trish) of Harvard, IL; and her sister Tessie Kloch of Marshfield, WI; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Eugenia will be held Monday, April 19 at 12:00pm with Visitation at 11:00am at St Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Rogers, AR., under the direction of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home Rogers.
