Evelyn Rose Hoppins Doss' Obituary
Evelyn Rose Hoppins Doss, 81, of Springdale, went to be with our Lord and Savior on June 22, 2021, surrounded by her family. She was born June 7, 1940, in Rule, AR, to Hollova Gray Hoppins and Orpha Susan Bradshaw Hoppins.
Evelyn was a homemaker after retiring from Wal-Mart with 27 years of service. She also served as a Pastor’s wife with husband, C.H. Doss at Abundant Life Pentecostal Church of God in Springdale. She took great enjoyment from tending to her flowers and bird watching. She also enjoyed reading and learning new things. Evelyn’s love and devotion to her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren was second to none. She lived a life devoted to serving others and impacted many lives.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Beatrice Miller, and her husband, Jay; her sister-in-law, Stella Hoppins; and one grandson, Travis Doss.
She is survived by her beloved husband of over 62 years, C.H. Doss; her daughter, Claressa Wood, and husband, Ray, of Fayetteville; her son, Rick Doss, and wife, Shari, of Centerton; her son, Anthony Doss, and wife, Rhonda, of Springdale; one brother, Winfred Hoppins, of Wichita, KS; one daughter-in-law, Jeanne Doss, of Springdale; Five grandchildren, Megan Weinkauf, and husband, Derek; Kaitlyn Wood; Shalee Doss; Dalton Doss; and Emily Doss; four great-grandchildren; her nieces and nephews; and the rest of her family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville. A funeral service will immediately follow at 3:00 PM with interment following at Stuckey Cemetery. A live stream of the service may be viewed at https://my.gather.app/remember/evelyn-doss
