Evelyn Virginia Kotter's Obituary
Evelyn Virginia Kotter, age 95 of Springdale, Arkansas passed away Thursday December 26, 2013 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was born July 13, 1918 in Hood River, Oregon where she was also raised and her parents were Fred Paasch (1883-1973) and Mary Altman Paasch (1888-1982). She attended secretarial school in Spokane after high school graduation. She met her husband Milton in Portland, Oregon and they married in 1946. In 1956 the family moved to Concord, California; there she was an employee with Contra Costa County, California. They were members of Calvary Baptist Church and Fair Oaks Baptist in Concord. She was preceded in death by her husband Milton Kotter (1913-1991); her son, Jerald Dennis Kotter (1949-2011); daughter in law, Ronelle D. Kotter (1954-2010); siblings, August Michael Paasch (1912-1999) and his wife Nelta Armina (Barnes) Paasch (1913-2005); Katherine "Kate" Louise (Paasch) Barnes (1914-2001) and her husband Charles H. (Bert) Barnes (1911-1975); Frieda "Fritz" Mary (Paasch) Barnes (1916-2002) and her husband Terence E. (Terry) Barnes (1907-1970); Marie "Babe" Margaret (Paasch) Schutt (1920-1974) and her husband Fred Schutt (1905-1990); Mary Ann (Paasch) Parsons (1924-2006) and her husband Lysle Parsons (1925-1989). Evelyn was the last of her generation of Paasch’s and Barnes’.
She is survived by two sons, Chris Kotter and his wife Alice of Clarksville, Arkansas; Kenneth Kotter of Belmont, California; daughter in law, Sharon Kotter of Grandbury, Texas; six grandchildren, Laurie Taylor, Rebekah Mathis, Marika Kotter, Michelle Kotter, Christopher Kotter, Krystal Kotter and five great grandchildren.
Burial will be in Oakmont Memorial Park in Lafayette, California. Arrangements in Fayetteville are under the direction of Nelson Berna Funeral Home, arrangements in Lafayette are under the direction of Oakmont Mortuary.
