Faye Yvonne Hodnett's Obituary
Faye Yvonne Hodnett from Fayetteville, AR transitioned to the angels on May 26, 2022, to join her beloved husband Billie "Bill" Burke Hodnett (10/22/1930-10/17/2011) to take flight in the wings of love.
Faye Yvonne Hodnett was born on January 8, 1935. She was best known by her many names: Faye, Yvonne, Mrs. Hodnett, Bonn, Mom, but her most cherished name was "Nonnie" as a grandmother of four and great grandmother to seven which she loved and adored.
Faye will be remembered by formal documents for no one ever addressed her in life by this name.
Yvonne will be remembered for her glowing smile, love of laughter, and long conversations of talking and listening.
Mrs. Hodnett will be remembered for her 35 years as an Arkansas elementary teacher; majority of those years at Root Elementary in Fayetteville, AR.
Bonn will be remembered by her high school friends from McGehee, AR and closest in age nieces and nephews for they could not say Yvonne.
Mom will be remembered by her daughter Shelley Marie Hodnett in Rogers, AR and will join her son Billy Burke Hodnett, Jr in heaven.
Nonnie or Aunt Nonnie will be remembered by her beautiful family she loved dearly and that each hold special memories of her in this lifetime.
The family thanks you all for the support and love during this time. A private graveside prayer will be held at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville, AR.
Just a Memory Away
I'm no longer by your side,
but there's no need to weep;
I've left sweet recollections
I'm hoping you will keep.
Eternal joy and memories
stay in our hearts forever,
Strengthening our special bond
that parting cannot sever.
Now it's time to journey on,
so let your faith be strong,
For I am in a better place...
I'm home where I belong.
And if times of loneliness
bring sorrow and dismay,
Don't despair, for I am there...
