Florence Heinig's Obituary
Mrs. Florence Heinig, 85, of Fayetteville, AR passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2009 in Fayetteville, AR. She was born May 1, 1924 in Reading, PA to Stanley and Cecelia Ziemba. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fayetteville.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Richard Heinig; of the home; two children, Beth McCarty of Fayetteville and James Heinig of Waco, TX; several nieces and nephews; and Jax, her faithful dog.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Dorothy and brother Chester all of Reading, PA.
Her joy of life was contagious. Ever the optimist she could brighten a cloudy day and she shared her sweet, generous spirit with everyone she met. She was both a loving and much loved wife and mother.
Among her many hobbies she enjoyed baking, gardening and was an avid bridge player. She was a generous volunteer serving at schools, libraries and the Red Cross Bloodmobile.
Funeral services will be held 10:00AM, Tuesday, September 8, 2009 in the mausoleum chapel at Fairview Memorial Gardens with Deacon Bud Baldwin officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 440 North College Avenue Fayetteville, AR 72701.
