Frances Clotilda Anderson's Obituary
Frances Clotilda Anderson, age 90, passed away at her home on Saturday, August 8, 2020. She was born on December 31,1929, in Wichita Falls, Texas, to James Earl and Ursel Dovie (Cornett) Young. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles L. Anderson; six children, Carol Anderson, David Anderson, Candance Hope Pearce, Faith Anderson, Mark Anderson, Jeff Anderson; and three siblings, Jack Young, Kathleen McGee and Toby Davis.
Frances was a homemaker and wonderful mother. Once she raised her ten children, she returned to school and completed her GED. When she was fifty-six years old, she enrolled at the University of Arkansas where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in journalism. She primarily wrote piece articles on humane matters for local publications. She was also a devoted member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fayetteville and had fulfilled a long dream to meet the pope in Rome
She is survived by her five children, Sonny Anderson of Texas, Jack D. Anderson and wife Shelly of California, Judy Cox and husband Tom of California, Charity Anderson of Fayetteville, and Paul C. Anderson of Fayetteville; twenty-five grandchildren; sixty-eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Moore’s Chapel Funeral Home.
