Frances L. Smith's Obituary
Frances L. Smith, age 87, of Elkins passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2014 in Fayetteville. She was born April 24, 1927 in Aberdeen, Washington, the daughter of Lester and Viola Gilbert Kerns.
She worked several years raising chickens on her farm.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman L. Smith.
Survivors include her two daughters, Teresa Martin and husband Paul and Joyce Shaw and husband, Lance all of Elkins; four brothers, Kenneth Kerns of Troutdale, Oregon, Delbert Mauk, Delmer Mauk and Bill Mauk all of Portland, Oregon; three sisters, Peggy Strandlof of Hermiston, Oregon, Margaret Hardison of Troutdale, Oregon and Karen O’Dell of Lone Rock, Oregon; five grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Moore’s Chapel in Fayetteville with Pastor Mike Smith officiating. Burial will be in McCord Cemetery in Elkins.
Visitation will be Friday from 5~7 PM at Moore’s Chapel.
