Francia Grogan Smith's Obituary
Francia Grogan Smith, age 69, of Elkins, Arkansas died Wednesday March 6, 2013 in Fayetteville. She was born November 13, 1943 in Tontitown, Arkansas the daughter of Thomas and Helen Fry Grogan.
She was owner and operator of a daycare and loved the kids she cared for.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arlis E. “Smitty” Smith; a brother, Bill Grogan, a brother-in-law, Billy Smith; a grandson, Kade Whitney, and two great-grandsons, Dakota Stockton and Kenny Williams III and a great-granddaughter, Anna Lee Williams.
She is survived by three daughters: Frankie Edwards and husband, Mike of Fayetteville; Shelly Whitney and husband David of Elkins; Debbie Stockton and husband Richard of Elkins; a son Joey Smith and wife Loyce of Elkins; two sisters, Freda Poore and husband Ken of Fayetteville and Doris Gannon and husband Sid of Springdale; a brother, Dean Grogan and wife Doloris of Hogeye; two sisters-in-law, Rosalie Grogan of Bentonville and Janet Smith of Elkins; twelve grandchildren: Chris Edwards, Nick Edwards, and Jeremy Edwards, Leisa Stockton, Jimmy Stockton, Richard Stockton, Hope Butcher, Steven Whitney, Lane Whitney, Shasta Williams, Ashley Adams, and Hailey Smith; nineteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p., Friday, March 8 at Moore’s Chapel. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday at the Whitehouse Community Church with Rev. Lynville Eaton officiating.
Burial will be in Whitehouse Cemetery, under the direction of Moore’s Chapel.
