Frank Brooks Jr.'s Obituary
Frank Brooks, Jr., 94, passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2019, in Fayetteville. He was born on February 1, 1925 in Fayetteville, to Frank Sr. and Effie (Elkins) Brooks. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dixie, four sisters, and one brother.
He was a retiree of the United States Navy, serving for 31 years. He retired from Arkansas Western Gas and Siloam Springs Police Department.
He is survived by his daughters, Linda Ward and her husband Lee, and Cyndee Church, both of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Colby Ward and his wife Krista of Fayetteville, Trent Ward and his wife Mickie of Fayetteville, and Davina Church of Lakewood, WA; great-grandchildren, Caden, Carson, Emily, Ana, Tristan, and Madalyn; his sister, Sarah Etta Jones of Owasso, OK; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00pm on Wednesday, April 3, 2019, at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held 2:00pm Thursday at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens with military honors.
