Frank Butterfly's Obituary
Frank "Scotty" Joseph Butterfly, 74, of Farmington, Arkansas died Friday, December 17, 2004 at the Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was born September 7, 1930 in Odanah, Wisconsin the son of William and Sophia Davidson Butterfly. He graduated from Bemidji High School in Bemidji, Minnesota and attended Yavapai Community College in Prescott, Arizona. He served in the United States Army and a champion Boxer while in the Army. He was a Painter, Artist, Silversmith and a Minister of the Gospel for over forty-five years.
He is survived by his wife; Sharon Ball Butterfly of Farmington, Arkansas, two daughters and son-in-law; Eugenia Eden - Moore and Lt. John Moore of Elkins, Arkansas, Inda Butterfly of Elkins, Arkansas and friend Jason Nelson, one son Samuel Butterfly of Anderson, Missouri, eight grandchildren; Shelah Smith and husband Robert J., Brandon J. Eden, Estaban Butterfly, Kayla Butterfly, Brandi Butterfly, Micah Butterfly, Aimee Butterfly, Emily Butterfly, one great grandchild; Sarina Smith, one sister; Margaret Rose Lowery of Cass Lake, Minnesota, mother-in-law; Avis Ball of Farmington, Arkansas and a hosts of other family and friends that loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by five brothers and sisters; Joseph, Virginia, Anthony, Elizabeth and Philomene.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Tuesday, December 21, 2004 at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home with brother Buel Curtis officiating. Burial will follow in the Zinnamon Cemetery. Pallbearers will be; Daniel Morris, Chad Aaserude, Christopher Aaserude, Shane Eden, Bobby Joe Lowery, Jeremy Long, Christopher Butterfly, Mario Long and Brandon Butterfly.
Visitation will be 4:00 PM till 9:00 PM Monday, December 20, 2004, with the family-receiving friends from 5:00 PM till 7:00 PM.
