Frank Coker's Obituary
Frank Coker Jr., age 91, of Fayetteville died Friday December 21, 2012. He was born December 26, 1920 in New Holland, Georgia to James Frank and Adeline Hawkins Coker. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Fayetteville where he served as deacon and Sunday school teacher. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving in World War II, was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Louise Coker.
He is survived by three sons, Jim Coker and his wife Anne of Fayetteville, Arkansas; Luke Coker and his wife Patty of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Kevin Coker and his wife Julienne of San Francisco, California; two sisters, Jean Backus of Atlanta, Georgia; Esther Orr of Lexington, South Carolina; one granddaughter, Erin Zalman; two step granddaughters, Lindsey Slagle; Blythe McCauley; three step great grandchildren, Cora Grace Slagle, Madeleine Slagle and Hadley Slagle.
Memorial service will be 1:00 pm Friday December 28, 2012 at Moore’s Chapel with burial of ashes at Fayetteville National Cemetery under the direction of Moore’s Chapel.
