Frank C. Squirrel's Obituary
Frank C. Squirrel, age 80, of Farmington, died Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at his home. He was born February 16, 1933 in Claremore, Oklahoma, the son of Frank Charles and Mahaley Watashe Squirrel.
He was retired from the United States Army where he was a member of the Green Beret Special Forces. He was a member of the retired Special Forces Association and the Cherokee Nation Color Guard.
He is survived by his wife, Reba J. Squirrel; three sons, Eddie Morton, Steve Morton and Greg Squirrel; three daughters, Denise Squirrel, Judy Baker and Diana Murders; six grandchildren, Chris Morton, Dustin Morton, Robert Baker, Ashley Willbanks, Amanda Murders and Donna Baker; five great-grandchildren, Kaylynn Morton, Mariah Morton, Ava Chapman, Mckynzie Morton and Reed Wilbanks.
Visitation will be held 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Monday, May 6 at Moore’s Chapel.
Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m., noon, Tuesday at Prairie Grove First Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Fayetteville National Cemetery, under the direction of Moore’s Chapel.
Pallbearers will be Chris Morton, Dustin Morton, Robert Baker, Carl Center, Randy Center and Mike Murders.
Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warriors and Cherokee Veterans Center.
