Frank E. Farkas' Obituary
Frank E. Farkas, 91, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2009, in Fayetteville. He was born January 13, 1917 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Emil and Anna Cassady Farkas. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the U. S. Army Air Corps. Mr. Farkas was a well known entrepreneur in the Chicago advertising community, winning multiple advertising industry awards before retiring to Fayetteville. In his spare time he enjoyed playing golf with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife; Betty E. Farkas of Fayetteville, Arkansas, two sons, Richard Farkas of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Cork Farkas of Chicago, Illinois and one daughter; Patricia Farkas of Lockport, Illinois.
The family will hold a memorial open house Sunday January 11, 2009 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at the Farkas home.
