Frank E. James' Obituary
Frank E. James, age 99, of Fayetteville passed away Friday March 25, 2022. He was born October 3, 1922 in Fayetteville, Arkansas to Russell and Ermany Cathleen Jones James. He is a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Fayetteville, he served as usher at church for over 40 years. He served in the U.S. Navy in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. After he retired from the Navy dad worked for Washington County for another 20 years. He’s most important job was as a farmer. He was preceded in death by his wife Lorna James and his son, Ronald Pennington.
He is survived by four daughters, Michele James of Fayetteville, Cathleen James of Fayetteville, Tamera Rowland of Fayetteville and Tracy Troxell of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; two sons, Alan Wilson of Canberra, Australia and Robert James of Fayetteville; one sister, Marge Penix of Amarillo, Texas; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and many friends.
Rosary service will be 4:00 pm Sunday April 3, 2022, visitation will follow the rosary from 4:30 pm – 6:00 pm at Moore’s Chapel. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 am Monday at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Fayetteville with burial to follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery under the direction of Moore’s Chapel.
