Fred James Sulzberger's Obituary
Fred James Sulzberger of Rogers, Arkansas died August 5, 2024, at the Circle of Life Hospice Home at Legacy Village in Bentonville, Arkansas.
He was born January 24, 1941, in Ransom, Illinois to Dorothy (Reed) Sulzberger and Earl Sulzberger. After graduating from Dallas City High School, he served in the U.S. Army from 1962-1965.
Fred was a brilliant clock and watch repairman. He owned a business called Time Plus, repairing and selling clocks, watches, and jewelry in Rogers and Springdale, Arkansas. He also worked for the City of Rogers Water Department for many years and dabbled in real estate. After retirement he continued to repair clocks and watches, but loved working in his yard, finishing projects around the house, or outside admiring the birds and deer.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents and 5 siblings; Earl Jr. Sulzberger, Robert Sulzberger, Darryl Sulzberger, Duane Sulzberger, and Marilyn Kay Gansey.
He is survived by his very dear friend and companion, Connie R. Bachelder of Bentonville, Arkansas, his daughters Amy (Chad) Campbell and Lori Ferguson, both of Rogers, Arkansas. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
A private family graveside service will be on Friday, August 9, 2024, with Military Honors at Benton County Memorial Park in Rogers. Arrangements are provided by Nelson-Berna Funeral Home of Rogers.
