Freddie E. Black's Obituary
We celebrate the life of Freddie E. Black who passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at the age of 83. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Dorothy and his children Linda Sievers and husband Robert of Arnold, Missouri; Pamela Oxford of Siloam Springs, Arkansas: June Ziser and husband Andrew of Fayetteville, and his sister Maxine Barton of Tulsa, OK. He was blessed with five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and awaiting the arrival of another great grandchild.
Freddie was born at Addilee, Oklahoma on September 20, 1927. He was an accomplished fiddle player and as a young man he played with the Ozark Mountain Boys. He married the love of his life, Dorothy Ward, in 1948 and they resided in Fayetteville for the next 61 years.
After working for SWEPCO for 38 years, he retired in 1989. He was a faithful Christian who attended Center Street Church of Christ for the duration of his adult life. Now he’s running across heaven!!!

Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 10:00 A.M. Thursday, October 7, 2010 followed by services at 10:00 A.M. in Nelson-Berna Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Randall Caselman will officiate. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 PM at Westville City Cemetery in Westville, Oklahoma.
