Frederick William Anderson's Obituary
Fred Anderson, age 81 of Springdale, Arkansas passed away the 22nd day of March 2023. Fred was born in Fairfield Township, Lenawee, Michigan on November 22, 1941.
Fred Anderson was actively serving as Justice of the Peace Precinct 4 in Washington County Arkansas when the Lord called him home. He served in the United States Air Force from 1963 to 1967 as a radar technician. He was an avionics mechanic and aircraft pilot throughout most of his career. He worked as an engineer from doing TV repair to designing some of the communication hardware that went to the moon. He was constantly serving his fellowmen from mowing all of his neighbor’s lawns to helping many repair their vehicles. Even as Justice of the Peace he did marriage ceremonies for no cost to the couples. He was involved heavily in family history doing many seminars for miles around and helping individuals everywhere he could. He was active in his church and served in the Oklahoma Temple as well as many other callings where he served his fellowmen. He will be missed by many.
Fred is preceded in his death by his parents, Duane and Dorothy Anderson, step-mother Madeline Anderson, his wife Patricia Anderson, and his sister Betty Miller.
Fred is survived by his sister, Linda Tate of Adrian, Michigan; His children: James Anderson and wife Kathy, John Anderson and wife Tina, and Laura Burkey and husband Adam. His grandchildren: Lauren Keeton and husband David, Benjamin Anderson, Rebecca Bean and husband Elliott, Rachel Jones and husband Fred, Kimberly Hill and husband Travis, and Mark Burkey and wife Missy. His great grandchildren: Kimee, Max, Sam, and Ellie Keeton, Aisha Bean, Zoe and Freddy Jones, and Everly Burkey and extended family.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, April 3, 2023 at Springdale Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Springdale, Arkansas.
