Frederick 'Fred' Morell's Obituary
Frederick (Fred) G. Morell, 89 passed away on April 18, 2016 from natural causes in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. He was born in Argyle, Michigan on April 23, 1926 to Stanley and Helen Miller Morell. In Nov 1944, at age 18, he entered the US Army at Fort Sheridan in Illinois then transferred to Camp Robinson in Arkansas for training. He served as a rifleman in the European Theater until July 1946. He received the Victory, American Theater Service and European-African-Middle Eastern Service medals. After the war he moved to California where he met and married Louise Beeson. In 1960 they move to Russellville, AR and started the Morell Peach Orchard on Mill Creek Road. In 1966 they sold the farm, and Fred started building custom homes. Later he joined the Carpenter Local 1836 Union where he retired from. He loved gardening, traveling in his RV, but he really loved his antique Packard automobiles. He was preceded in death by a son, Kirk Nelson.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Louise Beeson Morell of 55 Rainsong #15 Farmington, AR 72730, son Fredrick G. Morell Jr. and wife Liesl of Burlingame, CA, son, Dean R. Morell and wife Melissa of Arlington, TX , daughter Margaret Morell Sorrells and husband Jeff of Farmington, AR, and daughter Christine Nelson Bunow and husband Michael of Turlock, CA . They have 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Burial will be at Cloverdale cemetery in Boise, ID. Memorial service will be held there at a later time.
