Gail and John were each very special people. They loved each other and were loved and appreciated by all who knew them.
John was a Sigma Nu fraternity brother, Past President of the Fayetteville Rotary Club, member of the "Economic Redistribution" small time card club, music maker, and friend. They don't come any better.
When Gail showed up in my fourth grade classroom in Washington Elementary, I thought she was the prettiest girl I ever saw. That never changed. Her beauty was in the true elegance and grace she displayed during her lifetime and so well defined in the obituary prepared by her daughters.
I had three or four dates with Gail. Well, to be honest ....not "real" dates. As a fraternity pledge in the fifties I was required to date college girls (not my high school sweetheart). On occasion, John's band would play at the U of A Student Union on Friday afternoon. Gail was happy to let me take her to the Union on Fridays when John just happened to be there. I needed a date and she needed an escort. This arrangement worked out for both of us. Of course, at the end of the music Gail would dump me for John. Her choice, not mine. End of story.

Gail was such an angel on earth. We worked together on many dogs. She saw the good in all dogs, and advocated tirelessly for them to be safe and loved.
We miss you Gail, but we know you’re surrounded by love and wags.
Just a small handful of the dogs Gail sent us.
Gail and I bonded over dogs and rescue but also over the loss of our husbands at the same time. I will miss her as a rescue partner but also as a friend. I have a feeling she will help me keep rescuing dogs from the other side! She is an angel to so many now. Lots of love, light and prayers to all of her family. I smile thinking of all the doggie's in heaven that were there to greet her with smiles and wagging tails! Hugs to all!
Here is Angel, the last dog we worked on together... so appropriately named!
So many wonderful memories of both Gail and John, especially the years in Cincinnati where we met but afterward as well when we visited one another. Peace to both of my sweet and dear friends - together again as it should be. Love, Andrea Mack (formerly Conroy)
