Garland Lewis Thomas' Obituary
Garland Lewis Thomas, 80, of Fayetteville passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at his home only two weeks after a cancer diagnosis.
Garland was born May 7, 1944, in Mena, Arkansas to Delbert and Helen Richmond Thomas. Garland married Linda Easley in 1966. They were married almost 59 years. Garland and Linda and their daughters lived in Denison Tx. Most of his career he worked at Texas Instruments. He completed his undergrad and masters degrees at Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, Oklahoma. They moved to Fayetteville in 1993.
Garland loved the Lord and attended and served at Calvary Baptist Church, Fayetteville. He also loved fishing, car shows, day trips, and the Razorbacks.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Wayne Thomas. Garland is survived by his wife Linda, daughter Poppy Nye (Brian) and their children Lanie and Kody of Huntsville Tx, and daughter Sasha Thomas and her daughter Vanessa of Garland, Tx. He is also survived by one nephew, Tom Thomas of Dallas, Tx.

Visitation will be Monday, April 14, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. at Calvary Baptist Church in Fayetteville, with Funeral Service to begin at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery under the direction of Moore’s Chapel in Fayetteville.
