Kathryn, I just found out about John's passing, and I am so sorry for your family's loss. I wish I had known sooner, I would have come to the service. May the Lord comfort all of you with wonderful memories and with His peace.

Ryan and Evan,I have so many memories of John that still make me laugh. I have yet to taste a pineapple cream pie that was as good as his. Whenever it snows I always remember going out with him and your Mom and looking for "virgin" hills that no cars had been up just to see if we could make it to the top-we usually did.When you boys were born he was so proud and he remained that way.He recently shared how he enjoyed your golfing trip to Las Vegas-y'all made some great memories. John was a great Firefighter and leader who had great passion for his job and the knowledge to go with it. John was one of the reasons to belong to the Union and was a great union brother.
