George N. Stephens, 75, of West Fork, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2007 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was born June 24, 1931 in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of George W. and Rose (Lakey) Stephens. He was a self-employed carpenter (retired), worked in the ministry and was a Veteran of the United States 101 Airborne from 1947 to 1954.He is survived by his wife; Mary Stephens of the home, three daughters; Dee Jordan of Rogers, Arkansas, Georgia Lane of Clifty, Arkansas, Teresa Stephens of Fayetteville, Arkansas, three sons; Mark Stephens of Grove, Oklahoma, Daniel Stephens of West Fork, Arkansas, Matt Stephens of West Fork, Arkansas, one sister; Francis Parvin of Napa Valley, California, two brothers; Charles Stephens of Rogers, Arkansas, Albert Linder of Garden City, Missouri, sixteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Friday, May 18, 2007 in the Chapel of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home and Crematory of Fayetteville with Mr. Dwayne Lane and Mr. Steve Jordan officiating. Burial will follow in the Baptist Ford Cemetery near Greenland, Arkansas.
