Geraldine Oberley's Obituary
Mrs. Geraldine "Gerri" Oberley, 79 of Rogers, AR passed away Thursday, July 31, 2003 in her home. She was born February 1, 1924 in Vanndale, AR to Joel and Judith (Gardner) Wilcox. She was a homemaker, a member of First United Methodist Church in Rogers, AR, and a member of the Ladies Dolphinette Group, which is a group for the wives of World War II Submariners.
A son Michael Joel Oberley preceded her in Death.
She is survived by her husband of sixty years, Col. Thomas E. Oberley, Ret., two daughters; Tommie Ann Reed and husband Dr. Hollis T. Reed of Pineville, LA, Mary Catherine Shelton of Remond, WA, four grandchildren; Lt. Jeremy T. Reed and Lt. Amanda B. Reed both of New Orleans, LA, Kristin C. Reed of Waco, TX, and Conrad Shelton of Redmond, WA.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, August 4, 2003 at the First United Methodist Church in Rogers, AR with the Rev. Davis Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in the National Cemetery in Fayetteville, AR.
