Gladys Clara Georgia Harwood, 97 of Springdale, AR formerly of Coffeyville, KS passed away Monday, June 08, 2015 in Springdale. She was born June 25, 1917 in South Coffeyville, OK to Euta Larotus Downing and Annie Matilda (Hill) Downing.
She was a dedicated homemaker and mother and was a member of Emmanuel Chapel in South Coffeyville, OK, a church founded by her mother, Annie M. Downing.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Alton Harwood.
She is survived by her daughter; Gayla Vay Henderson and husband Dr. Steven James Henderson of Auburndale, FL, granddaughter; Heather Dawn Henderson Thomas and husband Gary Scott Thomas of San Jose, CA, grandson Steven James Henderson II and wife Lindsay Gardner Henderson of Tulsa, OK, and four great grandsons; Luke Andrew Thomas, Jackson Charles Thomas, Brady James Henderson, and Beau Spencer Henderson.
A Celebration of Mrs. Harwood’s life will be held Sunday, June 14th, 2015 at 3:00 p.m.at Emmanuel Chapel, 312 Broadway, South Coffeyville, OK.
