Glenn Richard Jostad's Obituary
Glenn Richard Jostad was born on November 11, 1960, in Aitkin, Minnesota, to Donald and Rose Marie (Marshall) Jostad. He later moved with his family to Nevis, Minnesota, where his father served as superintendent of schools and where Glenn attended elementary school.
The family relocated to Bryant, Arkansas, in 1972, where Glenn graduated from Bryant High School. He went on to attend the University of Arkansas, earning his Bachelors degree in Business. After graduation, Glenn pursued a career as an accountant, a profession well-suited to his love of numbers and detail. He took great pride in his work and found joy in “crunching the numbers,” whether at work or in his free time.
Glenn’s passion for statistics carried over into his love of sports. An avid fan, he could recall facts, scores, and player histories with ease, often amazing others with his knowledge. Razorback Baseball held a particularly special place in his heart, he often said that the start of the season felt like Christmas morning.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Rose Marie Jostad, both of Bryant, Arkansas, and by his brother, Steve Jostad, of Nevis, Minnesota.
Glenn is survived by his loving partner, LuAnn; his daughter, Annika (David); his brother, Eric
(Catherine); his nephew, Todd (Stephanie); and his niece, Ericka (Parker).
He will be remembered for his sharp mind, quick wit, and the joy he found in family, sports, and the simple pleasures of life.
He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
