Grant Joseph Fitzgerald's Obituary
Grant Joseph Fitzgerald, age 42, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, passed away on April 29, 2024, at his home. He was born on September 10, 1981, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to Bobby and Deena (Lovell) Fitzgerald. Grant graduated from Fayetteville High School in 2000. He attended the University of Arkansas, before starting his career in sales. Grant enjoyed being outdoors, spending a lot of his time hiking, camping, canoeing / kayaking, and being out in nature. He loved being an uncle and spending time with his niece and nephew. Grant was a music enthusiast who loved live music and a was a fan of Pearl Jam. On Sundays, you could find him watching and cheering on the Green Bay Packers.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Joe and Sue Fitzgerald; maternal grandparents, Lloyd and Lucille Lovell; and uncles, Jerry Fitzgerald, Lewis Fitzgerald, and Michael Lovell.
Grant is survived by his parents, Bob and Deena Fitzgerald; sister, Ashley Goode-Strange and her husband Cody Strange, and their children, Harper Goode and Wyatt Strange; sister, Kristen Stout and her husband Jason Stout; brother, Kevin Fitzgerald; aunt and uncle, Karen and Bob Thorn, and cousin, Stephen Thorn and wife Cassie Thorn; cousin, Jason Fitzgerald and wife Beth Fitzgerald; cousin, Britney Fitzgerald; uncle and aunt, Dr. Victor Lovell and wife Carol Lovell; and cousins, Catherine Lovell, Christopher Lovell, and Laura Lovell.
A celebration of life will be held at Ashley and Cody’s home on Friday, May 3, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. There will be a private burial at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville.
