Gregory Thomas Bray's Obituary
Gregory Thomas Bray, 58, passed on July 23rd, 2026 after a long battle with cancer in the presence of his beloved family. Greg was born on April 4th, 1968 in Springfield, Missouri to Jane Alice Bray & Thomas Royce Bray; Greg was the first born of two children. Greg spent his childhood in Springfield, Missouri where he met the love of his life, Nichole, in middle school at the pencil dispenser. Greg grew up visiting his grandparent’s farm in Sparta, enjoying the Finley River at Linden Lure, and running across town with his younger brother David and close friends.
Greg pursued an education in Accounting at the University of Tulsa. He began his career at Williams Oil and Gas in Tulsa. In 2002 Greg accepted a job at Walmart and moved his family to Bentonville, Arkansas where he remained until his passing. Greg built his career at Walmart working across Real Estate, Finance, and ultimately his favorite role planning, building and running Walmart’s new Home Office. Greg worked for Walmart for 24 years, and loved every minute.
Greg built a happy home with his wife where they raised their two children Ryan and Kayla. Greg delighted in raising his children, and never missed an opportunity to cheer them on in their hopes and dreams. Throughout his life, Greg loved adventure, all things that surrounded water, classic rock, skiing, photography, good food, long drives, laughing, and most of all his wife and children.
Greg created a strong family unit built on a love for God and love for each other. He will be remembered for his infectious laugh, impeccable music taste, sage advice, fighting spirit, and dedication to his family. Gone too soon, but remembered always, Greg remains in our hearts.
Greg is survived by his loving wife, Nicki, and their two children Ryan and Kayla, daughter in law Abbey, and grandson Banks; his mother Jane Bray; his brother David and his family, Michelle, Adam, Ashtyn, Zach, Holden, Ada and Hayes Bray. close family Doug, Shelley, Blake, Lauren, Spencer and Mary Cate McMillon and Carolyn & Chris George; Greg’s memorial will be held on Monday July 27th, at Fellowship Bible Church in Bentonville, Arkansas at 2PM, visitation at 1PM. The family is asking for donations to Circle of Life and Fellowship Bible Church in honor of Greg.
