Gwendolyn Lawson Olson, age 83, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2024, in Rogers, AR. Born on December 3, 1940, in Memphis, TN, she was the beloved daughter of the late Arthur William and Winifred Hasket Lawson Sr.
Gwendolyn was a woman of many passions. She had a deep love for music, particularly Classic Rock, Memphis Blues, and the legendary Elvis Presley. Her home was always filled with the melodies that brought her so much joy.
As a mother, Gwendolyn was unwaveringly supportive of her son, Dean L. Olson of Rogers. She would have moved mountains for him, and her devotion was evident in every aspect of her life. She also had a profound love for movies and books, often finding solace and joy in the stories they told.
An avid coin collector, Gwendolyn found beauty and history in the coins she meticulously gathered over the years. This hobby was a testament to her appreciation for the small, intricate details in life.
Gwendolyn is survived by her son, Dean L. Olson of Rogers; her brother, Arthur W. Lawson Jr.; and her sister, Betty L. Hopper, and her husband, George.
A celebration of Gwendolyn's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you take a moment to enjoy a piece of music, read a good book, or simply reflect on the wonderful memories you have shared with her.
