Harold O. Binkley's Obituary
Harold O. Binkley, 84, of Springdale, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2009 in Bentonville, Arkansas. He was born May 26, 1924 in Hominy, Oklahoma. The son of Henry O. and Edith (Hardy) Binkley. He was a veteran of WWII in which at one time he was the youngest pilot to make Captain in the United States Air Corp, at the age of nineteen. He flew a P-38 and the P-51 Mustang. He survived over three hundred and ninety combat missions which at that time was seldom heard of. He retired from the FAA as an Aviation Flight Controller. He is survived by one daughter; Sandra N. Hutchens of Bentonville, Arkansas, one son; Brad Binkley of Weatherford, Texas, two grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, March 20, 2009, at the Chapel in the Circle of Life Hospice House, 901 Jones Road, Springdale, Arkansas, with Chaplain Blake Lasater officiating.
