I was thinking of Marving & Maudine just yesterday and decided I would get online today to try to see if I could get in contact with Maudine or any of the girls...and sadly found her obituary. Although I only met Aunt Maudine on a couple of occasions I loved how warm and friendly she was. It seems she was always laughing. I wish I had gotten to know her better. She will be missed.
Note: First: Regarding the two photo's posted that are the same. It is of Maudine & Linda Self, & not Donna Hall. Second: The photo posted as Maudine & Monte as a baby is of Mary Lamb Hall & daughter, Verna Jeanell Hall.
My earliest memories of Maudine were when my family drove to Arkansas when Fred was in the hospital and Monte was a baby. I knew then she was a "special" sister to my daddy. After Fred passed away they lived in Sherman and I got to know her better. She never forgot our birthdays and I loved visiting her when she was in Sherman. Her strong Christian faith sustained her all of her life and her love for the Lord and her family is a testament to her spirit. It is especially sad to see the last of the great ten children to this Lamb family pass. My thoughts and prayers are with each of you.
