Helen Winifred Hedrick's Obituary
Helen Winifred Hedrick, of Rogers passed away Tuesday December 2, 2025, at the Willard Walker Hospice Hone in Fayetteville. She was born February 23, 1931, in Kansas, the beloved daughter of Frank and LoveJoy Bennett
Helen met and married Stanley Verle Hedrick while the two attended York College in York, Nebraska. After college, Helen moved to San Antonio, Texas while Stan severed 4 years in the United States Air Force. They had two sons while Stan served in the Air Force.
Upon Stan’s discharge from the Air Force Stan began a 37-year career with the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company which took Helen and two additional sons to reside in the states of Kansas, Pennsylvanian, Tennessee and Illinois.
Helen was active and well liked by the wives of the Goodyear Tire Management Team. Helen loved playing tennis in the Goodyear Women’s League Tennis Club at Wingfoot Park while in Tennessee.
Helen always had her four sons clothed, fed and in school on time. Helen drove all four sons to many hundreds of school practices as all sons participated in football, basketball and track. Upon completing their education, Helen and Stan enjoyed traveling to the mountainous states of Colorado, Utah and Wyoming. They loved hiking in both State and National Parks.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Fred Bennett (retired U.S. Air Force); her husband Stanley Verle Hedrick and a son Larry Wayne Hedrick
Helen is survived by her sons Steven Hedrick of Norristown, Pennsylvania, Greg Hedrick and his wife Terri of Springdale, Arkansas and Jeffery Hedrick and his wife Gina of Union City, Tennessee; granddaughters Cassandra Siebert and husband James, Larry Beth Blakley and husband David, Autumn Cox and spouse Mandy and Jade Hedrick; step grandson Lance Millsap and wife Cathy and many great grandchildren.
Helen was a longtime member of the First Christian Church, Rogers, Arkansas. The Rev. Shawn Wallace will officiate a Memorial Service at the Fayetteville National Cemetery 10:30 a.m. Friday December 5, 2025.
