Henry C. Sanders' Obituary
Henry C. Sanders well known as “Bob” 86, of Wesley passed away April 3, 2015 at his home. Born March 11, 1929 in the Crossroads Community, he was the son of Emmanuel and Edna Day Sanders.
He served in the U.S. Army, was a former employee of the Campbell Soup Company, and retired from Elkhart Products Coporation. He was a member of the Richland Baptist Church at Mt. Olive where he served as a Deacon, Sunday School Superintendent, and Song Leader.
He was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers, Claude, Ralph, Leonard, Bill, Joe, Kenneth, and Pete.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years Bonita Sisemore Sanders of the home, one son Marlin Sanders and companion Elizabeth Brown of Elkins, AR, two daughters Pat Kulka and husband George of Wesley, AR, and Gay Akers and husband Joel of Quitman, Texas, three brothers Chester Sanders and wife Tammy of Huntsville, AR, Melvin “Skinny” Sanders of Elkins, AR, and Dee Sanders and wife Helen of La Quinta, California, two sisters, Janie Gage and Frances Gage both of Elkins, AR, 7 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren, many relatives, friends, and his church family whom he loved so much.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7PM on Tuesday at Moores Chapel.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at the Richland Baptist Church at Mt Olive with Elders Eddie Samuels and Kent Boyd officiating. Burial will be in the Mt Olive Cemetery under the direction of Moore’s Chapel.
Pallbearers will be Michael Kulka, Noah Akers, Heath Barksdale, Justin Tate, Josh Gage, and Norman Gage. Honorary Pallbearers will be Elder Gary Jewell, Tommy Gage, Harold Pitts, Bob Pitts, Gene Boyd, Elder Ted Taylor, David Tate, Carl Baker, Paul Melson, and Sherman Wiles.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Washington Regional Hospice at 325 Longview Dr. Fayetteville, AR 72703, or the Richland Baptist Church at Mt Olive Church Camp fund at P.O. Box 511 Elkins, AR 72727.
