Henry Eugene Shaw's Obituary
Henry Eugene Shaw, 85, of Springdale passed from this life peacefully on March 27th, 2013 at Willard Walker Hospice in Fayetteville. He was born April 10, 1927 in Springdale, Arkansas. Hank, as most called him, was Hawkshow by his friends back in the day. If you’ve ever walked the streets of downtown Springdale during Rodeo Days and saw the store windows painted with cowboys and bucking broncs, you could thank Hank and his talent. A master of carving anything from a block of wood, delighting all around.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lottie, the love of his life. He is survived by two loving sisters, Ruby Terry of Springdale, and Georgia nail of the Zion Community in Fayetteville. One son, David A Vance of Rogers, and one daughter, Claudia Russell of Springdale, several nieces, nephews, six grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and a world of loving friends to cherish his memory.
Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Friday at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home, 4520 N. Crossover Road in Fayetteville.
Funeral Services will be 10:00AM, Saturday, March 30th at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home. Burial will following at Oakland Cemetery in Fayetteville.
