Hsiu Ai Gruenwald, 73, passed away on November 12, 2025, in Bentonville, Arkansas. She was born on August 28, 1952, in Puli, Taiwan, to the late Xiu-Ren and A-Hua (Ruan) Chiong.
Hsiu Ai lived a life defined by love, generosity, and quiet strength. She found joy in the simple things—tending to her garden, cooking meals that brought her family together, and sharing laughter with those around her. She had a remarkable gift for making others feel welcomed and cared for. Everyone who met her remembered her kindness, her warmth, and her sense of humor.
Hsiu Ai is survived by her devoted husband, Mike Gruenwald, whom she loved with all her heart; her daughter, Jamie Collins, and her husband, Jonathan; her granddaughters, Hannah Holladay and her husband, Dylan, and their daughter, Laney; and Gabby Hannon and her husband, Isaac, and their son, Samuel. She is also survived by family in Illinois, Oregon, California, and Taiwan, who she cherished dearly and loved connecting with.
Hsiu Ai will be remembered for her generous spirit, her loving heart, and her ability to make every person she encountered feel special. Her legacy of kindness lives on in the family she loved so dearly.
