Ian Taylor Riley's Obituary
Ian Taylor Riley, 14, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, September 13, 2007 at St. Mary?s Hospital in Rogers, Arkansas. He was born June 1, 1993 in St. Louis, Missouri to Lisa Hopkins Riley and Randall Riley. Ian lived life to its fullest, he was very social and liked best to be out and about. Horseback riding was his favorite activity. Ian touched many lives and amazed us all with his deep capacity for love and happiness in the face of considerable adversity.
He is survived by his mother and special friend; Lisa Hopkins Riley and Greg Salerno of the home, one sister; Lauren Riley of the home, maternal grandparents; M. E. and Patricia Hopkins of Fayetteville, Arkansas, his devoted caregiver; Tonya Martin of Elkins, Arkansas, his father and step-mother; Randall and Kathy Riley of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, paternal grandparents; Margaret Riley of Sand Springs, Oklahoma and the late James Riley, step-brother; David Riley of Prairie Grove, Arkansas and step-grandparents; William and Margaret Gilsdorf.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, September 23, 2007 at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Fayetteville with Rev. Dave Hunter officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Horses for Healing, 14673 Daniels Road, Bentonville, Arkansas 72712, [email protected]
