Ida Lorene Vinson's Obituary
Ida Lorene Vinson, age 88, of the Whitehouse Community, died Wednesday, September 25, 2013 in Fayetteville. She was born February 24, 1925 in Soper, Oklahoma, the daughter of Andrew Jackson and Girtha Hendrix Roden Nowell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry A. Vinson and a son, Zig Vinson.
She was a member of Sulphur City Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Tyrone Vinson and his wife Sherry of Farmington, Arkansas and David Vinson and his wife Lynett of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; two daughters, Marian Truax and her husband David of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Janice Daugherty and her husband Bob of Fayetteville, Arkansas; twelve grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; a brother, Roy Nowell of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; four sisters, Annie Mae Grubbs of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Edith Grubbs of Borger, Texas, Betty McAlexander of Mangum, Oklahoma and Peggy Sanchez of Canon City, Colorado.
Visitation will be held 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Moore’s Chapel followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Moore’s Chapel. Burial will be in Jester Cemetery in Jester, Oklahoma, under the direction of Greer Funeral Home in Mangum, Oklahoma.
