Biography
Ila Faye Emerson, 87, of Winslow, died Tuesday, April 26, 2011, at the Earlene Howard Hospice Home in Springdale.
She was born May 31, 1923, in Tuttle, Oklahoma, to the late W.T. and Ellen Garrison.
She was a farmer and of the Baptist faith. She attended the First Assembly of God in Winslow.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl Emerson; six brothers, Elmer, Floyd, Wallace, Vern, Lester and Curtis Garrison and grandson, Billy Hicks.
Survivors include four daughters, Helen Hicks and husband Bill of Cameron, Okla, Linda Stroud-McCaslin of Muldrow, Okla, Norma McGuire and husband Scott of Winslow, and Carla Waterson and husband Rodney of West Fork; grandchildren Shane Stroud and wife Nikki, Brian Hicks, Ryan McGuire and wife Mandi, Rachelle Dobbs and husband Travis, Melissa Waterson, Kari Waterson and Christopher Waterson and wife Silva; great grandchildren, Kaila , Daniel and Chase Stroud, Makaela and Jordan Hicks, Travis J., Destiny and Dixon Dobbs, Remington and Kimber McGuire and Ayden Pierson; two sisters, Lahoma Stacy of Carthage, Tex. and Irma Lois Ragsdale of Tuttle, Okla.
Visitation will be held 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday, April 28, 2011, at Moore’s Chapel.
Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 29, 2011, at Moore’s Chapel with interment in Fayetteville National Cemetery.
