Hal Brown's Obituary
Irwin Hal Brown, age 71, passed away on December 11, 2018. He was born December 11, 1947, in Fayetteville Arkansas, the son of Spencer and Marie Brown.
Hal loved the Lord, his family, the natural world, and all children. He shared his love and knowledge of nature with children of all ages at the Lake Fayetteville Environmental Study Center, where he taught and directed for 25 years. He and his family lived in Hogeye, Arkansas, in a passive solar house that he built himself.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sara Brown, brother Spencer Brown of Tulsa, daughter Mery Burgener and her husband Matt of Kansas City, son Joel Brown and his wife Laura of Denver, and three grandchildren: Reese and Kate Burgener and Oliver Hal Brown.
Services will be held at 2 pm on January 18th at Goshen United Methodist Church, 122 East Highway 45, Goshen, Arkansas.
