J. Pat Brooks' Obituary
J. Pat Brooks, 74 of Fayetteville, AR passed away Saturday, June 15, 2013 in Fayetteville. He was born May 11, 1939 in Graham, TX to Everett Ray Brooks and Minnie Jewell (Moore) Brooks.
He was the retired owner and operator of Service Supply Company in Fayetteville after starting his career there which lasted fifty years. He was a member of Monaco International, Western Swing Society, Good Sam’s Club, and FMCA. He was also very involved with Sherman Lollar Little League Baseball while his kids were active in the league, a Past President of the Fayetteville Sequoyah Kiwanis Club, an avid reader, and a Methodist. As a grandparent he thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandson. He was an avid Razorback baseball fan and enjoyed watching other sports. He and his family enjoyed spending time at the lake and traveling in their motorhome.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Paul N. Brooks, nephew, Phillip Brooks, and son in law John K. Audrain.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Saundra H. Brooks, three children, Glenda Brooks Audrain of Fayetteville, James P. Brooks and wife Ellen of Rogers, Doug Brooks and wife Lonnia of Fayetteville, two sister in laws Barbara Robertson and husband Rick of Springdale, Eunice Brooks of Broken Arrow, OK, six grandchildren, Macey Brooks, Cambre Brooks, Halsey Brooks, Kellie Audrain, Courtney Brooks, and Ryan Brooks, and one great grandson, Quincy Cash Brooks.
Visitation will be held Monday, June 17th 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday June 18th in the Chapel of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home with Reverend Don George officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville.
